Amitabh Bachchan shares picture of world's tallest Durga idol online

Amitabh Bachchan, who often expresses his love for Bengal's festivities and culture, has posted on Twitter about Kolkata's biggest attraction in this year's Durga Puja, the 88-feet tall Deshapriya Park Durga idol.

Extending his Durga Puja greetings to the fans, Big B, whose wife Jaya is a Bengali, shared a picture of the Durga idol at south Kolkata's Deshapriya Park in his account and tweeted,

The Piku actor further tweeted, 

T 2031 - The idol of Durga is made in cement and the largest Durga idol in the world .. and it stands in Kolkata !! pic.twitter.com/dgrRILo6sz

Artist Mintu Pal along with 40 other artists had been working on the idol and the pandal for over two months. The idol was equal to an eight-story building, according to the puja committee organisers.
