Amitabh Bachchan, United Nations ambassador for girl child, leaves no stone unturned to bring initiatives for girl child to spot light.

This time, the 73-year-old actor took to his social media page, one of most visited celeb-handles in the digital space, to highlight the story of the 'Biking Queens', who ride around the world, spreading the message of 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao'.

"And these be the 'BIKING QUEENS' .. 4 ladies from Gujarat who have decided to spread the message of 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' ..Save the daughter, educate her.. a most noble clarion call for the nation ..," he wrote on his Blog.

"Some heart breaking stories that one encounters in today's times and these ladies started this movement on motor bikes travelling on them to different parts of the world spreading this message .. and the message of giving pride of place, and honour of women empowerment to all .. most admirable ..," the actor's post added.

The 'Wazir' actor even took to his Twitter handle to post their snaps and wrote alongside, "The BIKING QUEENS .. they bike all over the world to spread the message of 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao'."

Bachchan will be seen participating in the second anniversary celebration of the Narendra Modi government on May 28, where reportedly, he will take the stage briefly to talk about the 'Beti bachao, Beti padhao' campaign for girl education.

The government is organising an event, 'Zara Muskura Do' (Smile Please), which will have several performances and programmes highlighting its ?achievements.?

The show will be telecast across the country on Doordarshan.

Various other schemes and programmes, particularly 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan,' 'Digital India' and 'Rural Electrification', will be highlighted during the show.

On the work front, the 'Piku' actor is busy with the promotion of his upcoming movie 'TE3N', which is slated to hit the theatres on June 10.

Bachchan, who was in the national capital on Wednesday for the interviews, will also be seen in Shoojit Sircar's 'PINK' soon.
