Amanda Peet has admitted that she thought Game of Thrones was a "terrible idea" when her husband David Benioff first told her about it. The 43-year-old actress said that she thought the idea was "just silly because it's Dungeons and Dragons but real with real people, Us Magazine reported.

Despite his wife's warning and much to the appreciation of millions of fans, Benioff went ahead with Game of Thrones, which has won 14 Emmy awards and quickly became one of HBO's most popular shows. Working with his co-creator D. B. Weiss, Benioff has led a four season adaptation of author George R. R. Martin's book series, with a fifth season set to air in April, 2015.

Peet, who is now "obsessed" with the fantasy series, added that when she went to visit Benioff in his office earlier that day, she saw the storyboards for the upcoming season and shielded herself from seeing any spoilers.
