Allu Arjun announces Allu Studios on Allu Ramalingaiah's 99th birth anniversary; Chiranjeevi remembers father-in-law

Ramalingaiah's son and producer Allu Aravind has inaugurated a studio called Allu Studio to mark his father's 99th birth anniversary. His sons Allu Arjun (a well-established actor in the Telugu film industry) and Allu Sirish joined him during the inauguration.

"October 1 marks the 99th birth anniversary of our beloved Sri Allu Ramalingaiah. To commemorate the occasion and honour his memory, the Allu family has inaugurated the construction work of Allu Studios. Our entire family has loved cinema and it makes us very happy to celebrate the legacy of our grandfather. We proudly dedicate Allu Studios to his loving memory," the family said in a statement.

Sharing the news, Allu Arjun tweeted, "1st of October marks the 99th birth anniversary of our beloved Dr Sri Allu Ramalingaiah. To commemorate the occasion and honour his memory, the Allu family will inaugurate the construction work of ALLU Studios."

He also, "We celebrate the legacy of our grandfather and dedicate this ALLU Studios to him. With all your blessings and good wishes, we commence the works of ALLU Studios."

Chiranjeevi also remembered his father-in-law on the special day. "Fondly remembering Shri. Allu Ramalingaiah garu on his 99th birth anniversary. More than just as my father-in-law, I have always admired his many facets, as a great actor, a passionate doctor, a committed freedom fighter, a profound philosopher, as a guiding mentor, as a guru, and a compassionate human being. You will always remain in our thoughts, Allu garu! And your centenary next year will certainly be a true landmark to deservingly celebrate your illustrious life," he wrote while also sharing a throwback photo of them.

Dr. Allu Ramalingaiah was a Padma Shri recipent and had worked in over 1000 films in the Telugu film industry. He was bestowed the award for his contribution towards Tollywood in the 1990s. He is best remembered for his comic roles, mainly in the cult hit 'Maya Bazaar'.
