Living up to its hype, Lady Gaga finally took the stage at the opening night for her Las Vegas residency, 'Enigma,' and she was worth the wait.

According to People Magazine, the highly energetic show began with Gaga descending from the rafters to a standing ovation as her earlier hits like 'Just Dance,' 'Poker Face' and 'LoveGame' began to play. For the next 90 minutes, she played a combination of greatest hits and fanfavourites, all while lasers continuously peppered the Park Theater.

During the show, Gaga also spoke to a majority of the audience and to a benevolent artificial intelligence graphic on the oversized screens, something she called both the 'simulation' and her 'enigma.'

The crowd -- which included Katy Perry, Dave Grohl, Adam Lambert, Regina King, Marisa Tomei and Jeremy Renner -- was on board from the jump.

Her second act included some more of her earlier hits, including 'Dance in the Dark,' 'Beautiful Dirty Rich,' 'The Fame,' 'Telephone' and 'Paparazzi.'

While her third act saw her perform mainly songs from the Born This Way album, including 'Scheiße,' 'Judas,' 'Government Hooker,' 'The Edge of Glory' and 'I'm Afraid of Americans.'

Her fourth one was filled with all her hits like 'Alejandro,' 'Million Reasons' and 'You and I'. She closed her act with some of her most famous songs, 'Bad Romance' and 'Born This Way.' And as an encore, she performed the song 'Shallow' from A Star is Born.

Announced a year ago, Enigma was very theatrical as she sang several songs while hovering over the crowd, changed costumes multiple times and also played into the Enigma theme.
