Lighten Up Bollywood! This is the message a new viral video by standup comedians Tanmay Bhat, Gursimran Khamba, Ashish Shakya and Rohan Joshi tries to send across to Yashraj Films for being a spoilsport to the idea of having some fun by spoofing the trailer of Dhoom 3.

In November, All India Bakchod approached Yash Raj Films with a request to spoof the trailer of Dhoom 3.

However, despite repeated requests and offers to change the existing jokes, the group was asked to "drop the idea completely" and "never bring it up again".

Far from being deterred, the AIB members took YRF's response and turned it into a video dedicated to 'Grumpy Ole Bollywood' asking them to learn to take a joke.

The video titled 'AIB's humble plea to Bollywood' begins with a sad "We made a Dhoom 3 trailer spoof but Yashraj shat on its fate, we went to ask permission and it turned into a farce, they told us drop the idea cause of the stick up their arse", set to the tune of the band's song — 'We Are Young'.

The comedians then go on to ask, "But Yashraj, you're no fun. Where the hell's your sense of humour?"

Soon after it was posted, the video went viral with being shared on Facebook and Twitter. It has also got 288,403 hits on YouTube. It even impressed Dhoom 3 actor Abhishek Bachchan, who responded to the video saying:

It was only after, Abhishek's response that YRF swung into damage control mode. But the admission came too late in the day as Tanmay Bhat did not seem satisfied at all.

With the video going viral online, AIB was flooded with requests to post the Dhoom 3 spoof video online, but the group politely declined to do so saying that the purpose of putting this video up was achieved.

While Bollywood never hesitates to get 'inspired' from Hollywood and churns out remakes of Southern hits, it has always been very touchy when the wind blows the other way. Earlier, AIB was asked to take down Race 2 parody.

Hope this video teaches Bollywood to have some fun.
