Alien comedy to complete 600 episodes

The sitcom, Badi Door Se Aaye Hai, about aliens who come to earth in search of their lost son will complete 600 episodes soon. On air since the last two-and-a years, it stars Sumeet Raghavan, Rupali Ghosale, Tanaaz and Bhaktiyaar Irani among others.

The serial has been single-handedly scripted by Aatish Kapadia.

Says producer JD Majethia, “It was a hit since day one as the promos were very clear, simple and entertaining. It opened with 1.8 and has been the number 2 show in the time spent after Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah on the channel.” He adds that it is difficult for any comedy to sustain in the current times.

“The youth at which the show is targeted has shifted to the digital platfrom. Also, they have several options today like Facebook and WhatsApp on which they spend a lot of time, so it makes us doubly happy that the serial has sustained for so long,” he says.
