Alia Bhatt opposite Shah Rukh Khan in his next? Aanand L Rai's spokesperson says 'Not yet'

Ever since Shah Rukh Khan and Aanand Rai announced their film together, it has managed to stay in the news. Especially for its casting.

While SRK plays a midget in the film, there will be two heroines in the film. One of them is mostly Katrina Kaif who will be playing herself in the film as well. But speculations were rife initially that Deepika Padukone has been cast for the other role.

Then, she had to walk out because the dates coincided with Padmavati. Now, there is buzz that Alia Bhatt has been cast opposite SRK already. But the film's spokesperson finally released a statement which rubbished all such news. 

In the midst of speculation surrounding the casting of the female lead opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Aanand L Rai's directorial next, official sources clarify that the actress has still not been finalised. 

Clarifies Rai's spokesperson, " A lot of names have been thrown in but at the moment the female lead has not been finalised. The casting is underway and is taking time as it is a difficult role. In fact, it is one of the most challenging that Aanand has ever worked on. The role needs a lot of prep time as well has shoot time for which a substantial chunk of dates are required. It's not just about finishing this film but making it."
