Joining the Bollywood bandwagon at Cannes will be actor-singer Ali Zafar. According to sources, Ali has been invited to be a part of the international film festival and the actor is looking forward to making his first Cannes appearance too.
Currently in Lahore (Pakistan), the actor reveals that he is thrilled to be invited to the festival as a Bollywood actor. “To find this kind of an acceptance as a Bollywood actor is a huge honour for me. I’m thrilled,” he says. “Yes, I’m planning to attend the film festival and am trying to work out my schedules accordingly. Nothing has been finalised yet, but I am hopeful things will work out fine,” adds Ali, who’s also awaiting the release of his next film Chashme Buddoor.
If the actor does go to Cannes, he will be celebrating his birthday that falls on May 18 there. “Inshallah, I will bring in my birthday on the French Riviera this year,” he smiles. “I think more than the Cannes visit, what I’m excited about is being recognised as a Bollywood actor. We all have grown up watching Hindi films and now to be a part of the same industry with such amazing actors is a wonderful feeling,” adds Ali.
