Akshay Kumar to don a dhoti in 'Gold'

Akshay Kumar has always sported different looks for his films. He has even cut his hair as required by the characters. Now for Reema Kagti’s biopic Gold where he reprises the role of India’s legendary hockey striker, captain and coach of yesteryear, Balbir Singh Sr, the actor will wear a dhoti-kurta in the entire film. The period drama is about India winning the first Olympic medal as an independent country in 1948, at the 14th Olympiad in London. Akshay has worn a dhoti-kurta in his earlier films, but this is the first time he will be wearing the outfit throughout a film. Shooting for the film starts mid this year.
