Akshay Kumar decides to drop in for a surprise performance at the Da Bangg concert in Hong Kong...
Salman Khan finally kicked off his much anticipated Da Bangg World Tour last night in Hong Kong. Salman's confirmed line-up included Sonakshi Sinha, Bipasha Basu, Badshah, Prabhu Dheva, Manish Paul, Elli Avram and Daisy Shah. But Salman had one more surprise up his sleeve!
Fans were shocked and elated when they saw Akshay Kumar turn up to perform at the concert. Reports say that the actor arrived at Hong Kong yesterday and rehearsed the entire day, but it was made sure that no pictures or videos were leaked from the practise sessions, so as to keep the surprise.
The tour was officially being covered by Bollywood Hungama, who also covered Akshay's performance. Akshay made his grand entry on a bike amidst roaring fans. The actor then performed to a medley of his songs, and pleased his fans by then singing Soch Na Sake from his movie Airlift. While Akshay dropped by for the Hong Kong performance, he will not be present for the concerts in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland.
Kumar has been in the news in the past couple of weeks for his National Film Award win for Rustom and the controversy it drew. However, despite all the backlash, Kumar was elated about his win and is also excited about the release of his next, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. Akshay told Bollywood Hungama, "It is a very entertaining film, you’d love it. And it’s not a documentary type film as some people are assuming,” The movie will see its release in theatres on June 2, 2017.
Salman himself told the entertainment portal that he was very pleased with the show, and was also complementary of Akshay's surprise appearance. “Everyone did a great job. Akki (Akshay Kumar) was fabulous in the show,” was what Salman said. What other surprises could Salman be keeping under wraps? Let's wait and watch.
