Akshay Kumar's star power helps Taapsee Pannu's 'Naam Shabana' put up a decent opening weekend

Neeraj Pandey's Naam Shabana has garnered immense praise for its treatment and raked in over Rs 18.76 crore at the box office in 3 days. 

The film collected Rs 5.12 crore on Friday and followed it up with Rs 6.37 crore on Saturday and another Rs 7.27 crore on Sunday.  Naam Shabana is exhibiting a supreme run at the box office and has witnessed progressive growth during the weekend with a superb growth of 42% on Sunday from Friday.

The film turned out to be third highest female grosser by minting Rs 5.12 crore on opening day. Akshay Kumar's presence has also given a terrific boost to the film's collections at the BO. 

Naam Shabana is India's first spin-off, based on Taapsee's character in Neeraj Pandey's 'Baby.' 'Naam Shabana' has high action sequences and Taapsee, who plays the titular role, prepped hard to perform daredevil stunts.
