Akshay Kumar's Padman's theatrical and overseas rights sold at WHOPPING PRICE!

The distribution rights of Twinkle Khanna’s debut production Padman starring her husband Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte, have been picked up for a huge price (which includes the India theatrical and overseas rights) by Sony.

The production house happened to see some rushes of the film and came away impressed.

Padman, a biopic on Arunachalam Muruganantham, famously known as the India’s Menstruation Man, releases next year on Republic Day weekend and is being shot with Akshay and Radhika in Madhya Pradesh. Sonam joins the cast this month.
