Akshay Kumar’s next will be with Ahmed Khan

After four releases in 2015 and 2016, Akshay Kumar is all set to make it a hattrick in 2017 with Robot 2.0, Namaste London, Ikka and a film, directed by Ahmed Khan and co-produced by Firoz Nadiadwala.

The fourth film, reveals a source, will be a typical commercial masala entertainer — a comedy of errors in the vein of the Welcome and Housefull series. “The actor will be asked to choose between three scripts. Pre-production will begin on whichever one he greenlights, early next year.” 

Another insider source tells us what the three scripts are. “One of them is Awara Pagal Deewana 2, which is already in the news. But Akshay has asked for a bit of reworking on the script. So that’s on hold. The second one’s script is ready and the star will receive a narration soon. He has just been briefed on it for now.”

The third is Hera Pheri 3, which Ahmed is helming for sure. “Also, Firoz feels that Akshay’s presence will only help bring in more money. With a changed script for the sequel, it is a big possibility that the actor, who initially backed out of HP3 will return,” feels the source.
