V.K Singh is the crusader of 'Operation Raahat', which evacuated Indians from Yemen during the 2015 crisis

Akshay Kumar has left no stone unturned to promote his film Airlift. A film which is based on Kuwait-based Indians’ evacuation in 1990 invasion of Kuwait by Iraq is all set to release this week. However, the actor was extremely elated when he got a chance to meet former army chief Vijay Kumar Singh who was one of the key players in the evacuation process of Indians from Yemen last year.
The actor has currently been on a multi-city tour to promote his forthcoming film. He even tweeted a photograph of himself shaking hands with Singh, now the Minister of State for External Affairs

V.K. Singh, is renowned for leading 'Operation Raahat' which was a rescue mission to evacuate Indian citizens along with other foreign nationals from Yemen during 2015 Yemeni crisis. Airlift releases this Friday on January 22, 2015.
