Now here’s an act that’s not going to be easy to follow even for the Bollywood Khans.
According to the Twitter world, with Special 26 hitting bullseye at the box-office Akshay Kumar has become the first Bollywood actor whose films have crossed the lifetime net collections of Rs 2,000 crore. In fact, the actor crossing the 2,000 mark (#Akshay2000Crore) has been trending on Twitter for over two days since Saturday. “Honestly blessed to have you all Akkians in my life.
Special thanks to my fan clubs who support me so much selflessly time & again. Thank you for the #Akshay2000crore tag only possible coz of you all,” tweeted Akshay.
The report comes as an added bonus for the action king, who had in the last year itself, become the first Bollywood star to have crossed the Rs 400 crore business mark in a single year. The actor had two Rs 100 crore plus hits in Housefull 2 and Rowdy Rathore, which he had then topped up with the success of Oh My God! and Khiladi 786. In fact, this year too, Akshay has the highest money riding on him with films like Boss, Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai 2, Thuppaki remake, Ramesh Taurani’s untitled next among others.
