Ahead of Mohanlal's 61st birthday, Prithviraj Sukumaran shares unseen BTS still from 'Lucifer'

Superstar Mohanlal celebrates his birthday on May 21 and will be turning 61 this year. It's yet another lockdown birthday for the star but netizens have started pouring in their wishes for him. Among the celebrities, the first one to do so is actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran. For the uninitiated, Prithviraj directed Mohanlal in his directorial debut 'Lucifer' released in 2019. To which the 'Drishyam' actor, Prithviraj shared a BTS still from the 2019 blockbuster film.

In the photo, Mohanlal and Prithviraj are seen looking at something before the superstar gave his shot. The 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' actor wrote a sweet caption which read as "This was Day 1 of 'Lucifer' shoot. If not for the pandemic, we should have been shooting Empuraan by now. Will hopefully get there soon enough. Happy birthday Stephen! Happy birthday AbRaam. Happy birthday Laletta!  @mohanlal."

Earlier, as per reports in The Quint, Prithviraj confirmed his role in 'Barroz' by stating, "The movie is one of its kind... But ultimately it all comes down to someone spending the money and showing conviction."

'Barroz: Nidhi Kaakkum Bhootham' is based on the novel titled 'Barroz: Guardian of D' Gama's Treasure' written by Jijo Punnoose. The film stars Mohanlal in the titular role alongside Shayla McCaffrey, Sara Vega and Rafael Amargo.

The film went on floors in March this year with a grand event held in Kerala.
