Oscars 2017 has just concluded and while Dev Patel could not be the first Indian actor to win at the Academy Awards. But there was a special moment for all Indians in store.

During the 'In-Memoriam' montage at the awards, they paid tribute to veteran actor Om Puri who passed away earlier this year. The particular move by the Academy brought in a lot of cheers from the audience, and Indians worldwide. 

But this has also made an actor question the Bollywood awards who have not done the same. None of the Bollywood awards paid homage to the veteran star. Nawazuddin Siddiqui who has acted in Bajrangi Bhaijaan where Puri had a small role and was all set to do a full film (Manto ) with him has hit out at Bollywood awards. 

He took to Twitter and wrote, "@TheAcademy #Oscars paid homage 2 late #OmPuri, But in #bollywood award functions nobody converse single word for his contribution… SHAME"

But he does make a point!
