Adele took home the Grammy Award for Best Solo Pop Performance, but it was her new ink that stole the show at the awards! The Set Fire To The Rain singer showed off a new tattoo behind her right ear that was visible only due to her locks piled in an updo at the event.
Adele revealed a large capital ‘A’ behind her right ear in honour of her son Angelo, who was born in October last year.
While the British songstress said last month that she’s “not ready” to share the name of the child she had with beau Simon Konecki in public because it’s was too personal and intimate, the latest clue gives more credence to reports that her son is named Angelo. Incidentally, she also made the announcement in a much more subtle way on January 21 when she wore a gold necklace with the name Angelo inscribed as she was out and about running errands.
Backstage at the Grammy Awards, the 24-year-old singer told reporters how different her life was this time around as a mom.
“I’ve been up since 6 am so I’m quite tired, but it’s nice,” she said about being a new mom. “I haven’t been as stressed out. In life you have to prioritise what you stress about and worry about when you have a child. Normally I love getting my hair and make-up done, but this time I was like, ‘Get off. Get off.’”
She’s been happily “out of the loop, really,” Adele added. “I’ve just been singing my baby nursery rhymes.”
While she didn’t perform at the Grammys, she will be center stage at the Academy Awards on February 24, where she will sing her nominated hit Skyfall on Hollywood’s biggest night.
