We were recently visited by someone from the ad world, who had a lot of goss to share - everything from Big B's latest endorsement to the Badshah's biwi going the sari way to a brand swearing off working with a temperamental beauty queen-turned-actress. Read on for more...

GAURI'S A DESI MEM
An otherwise reluctant celebrity, Gauri Khan came out of her cocoon last year endorsing a furnishing brand with her husband and appeared on magazine covers. She will now lend her name to traditional Indian wear. She just completed a campaign for the brand, allotting a full day for a photo-session, shooting for various looks in different sarees. Expect the big announcement shortly. And no, SRK's not going to feature in the ad. Now that's an independent woman for you!

TINA: SAY WHAT??
Trust Twinkle Khanna to turn down a big endorsement because she found the line she had to mouth... "too cheesy"! She requested the clients to change the line. But they decided to stick to their creative rather than negotiate, so Tina just had to say no. A clear-cut case of "my way or no way".

SUSH UNREALISTIC DEMANDS!
A brand manager was stumped to hear Sushmita Sen quote Rs2 cr as her fee for doing an ad with them. The client ran in the other direction without even bothering to negotiate. While they had a Rs50 lakh budget for an actress, they cribbed that no one even remembers the former Miss Universe's last film, forget the asking price.

BIG B'S BIG COUGH
He's the biggest brand with the Midas touch. And while we've questioned his recent endorsement choices, it now transpires that he will endorse a household name - a cough syrup that's as much a part of every home as Dettol or Vicks is. Any guesses?
