Actress Lissy asked to submit to DNA test by Kerala High Court

She apparently stated to the High Court that Varkey was not her father and she was not given the opportunity to prove it.

Director Priyadarshan's ex-wife, actress Lissy, has been asked to submit to a DNA test by the Kerala High Court. According to a report in Mathrubhumi, ND Varkey of Muvattupuzha had filed a complaint asking Lissy to provide him with monthly financial assistance as he was her father. 

The daily reports that Varkey filed a complaint against her at the Muvattupuzha RDO and demanded that she provide financial help as per the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act. The Muvattupuzha RDO gave a verdict that Lissy had to give Rs 5500 per month to Varkey as financial assistance. 

However, Lissy went to Kerala High Court challenging the verdict. But the High Court dismissed the case and asked her to pay the full amount. It was then that she apparently stated to the High Court that Varkey was not her father and she was not given the opportunity to prove it. 

The report adds that the court accepted Varkey’s plea seeking interim assistance of Rs 10,000 a month. The High Court has also ordered DNA test that Lissy needs to submit to prove her claim. The case will be heard next on February 19.
