The Vile Parle police on Monday registered a case of molestation against an unidentified BMW car driver who was allegedly masturbating in front of the wife of a Television actor. The actor, who has worked in several Marathi and Hindi films, took to Twitter to report the matter to the police. He tweeted that an unidentified man had masturbated in front of his wife in Vile Parle.
The actor had also tweeted, writing that the pervert may have also targeted girls studying at a nearby school and should be nabbed immediately.
According to the police, the incident took place on Monday morning in Vile Parle when the famous actor's wife was travelling from Vile Parle Tilak School when she saw that the driver of a white BMW which was parked nearby, started masturbating in front of her. The police said the woman attempted to nab him after seeing the act but the driver fled from the spot immediately.
The woman could not see the full registration number of the car, however she could recollect only four letters. The woman then informed her husband who took to Twitter to inform the police. The police said they were looking for the accused.
"A white BMW with last 4 digits 1985 needs to be traced. The driver wearing a grey safari who had parked near #ParleTilakSchool #VileParleEast started masturbating in front of my wife. Before she could slap him he escaped. She could note down just the last 4 digits@MumbaiPolice," the actor wrote in a tweet tagging official Twitter handle of Mumbai Police.
After the actor's tweet, the Mumbai police immediately swung into action and informed the Vile Parle police who registered a case and are on the hunt for the driver. "We had received a call from the control room about the online complaint of the actor and we took the complaint from the actor's wife in writing and registered a case of molestation," said a police officer from Vile Parle police station.
We have formed a team to nab the pervert and questioning the locals for the clue. As the wife of the actor could not recollect the full number of the car, we are checking CCTV camera footage of the area. The accused would be arrested soon, our efforts are on," said Laxman Chavan, Senior Police Inspector of Vile Parle police station.
"He will be identified soon," Chavan added.
