Abhishek Bachchan in Shootout 3?

Abhishek Bachchan is working on an intense action drama next and it may well be for Sanjay Gupta, who confirmed getting AB Jr on board his next during the promotions of Jazbaa itself.

This means he will ditch comedies to do a possible gangster flick. He tells us, “I am in the worst phase of my career right now, where I haven’t signed any films post-Housefull 3.” He walked out of Hera Pheri 3 after the shoot was stalled and is in talks with a lot of directors. Sanjay Gupta, Rohan Sippy, to name a few. Ask him and he confirms, “I have liked the idea of Sanjay’s film. It’s an intense gangster drama. We are definitely working on that film. But the team is reworking the script at the moment. Sanjay, too, is busy with Kaabil and will direct this film only after that.”

Now, a well-placed source from the production team has made an interesting revelation. “Sanjay who has made Shootout At Wadala and Shootout At Lokhandwala wanted to start the third Shootout film right away, but it took some time to take off. He is almost ready with the script now and will begin Shootout 3 with Abhi after he finishes shooting Kaabil with Hrithik Roshan. The film will revolve around encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar, who had killed as many as 80 anti-social elements. It’s a gritty action drama, true to the franchise.”
