What it’s about:
Aatagaara opens with Jai (Chiranjeevi), a young and energetic slum-dweller,  trying to supply narcotics to a gang leader but the latter’s henchmen snatch the bag of narcotics from him and refuse to pay money. Jai makes all out efforts to recover the bag but in vain.  As expected, Jai’s boss asks him to earn Rs 18 lakh to recover the loss. The boss suggests him to join the reality show, organized by a private TV channel, to earn money. With no other better option, Jai agrees to join the reality show. He becomes the part of the group consisting with KP (Balaji Manohar), a fashion photographer, Mallika (Parul Yadav), a model, Dr Chethan Bhagavath (Prakash Belvadi), Yashvanth (Achyuth Rao), a journalist, Sakshi (Meghana), an actress, Sadhu Maharaj (Sadhu Kokila), a well-known chef and Sandhya Gopal (Anu Prabhakar), a school principal. All of them were sent to an isolated bungalow at an island to stay for month. They spent the first day with merriment but problems start from second day onwards with Sadhu Maharaj, after preparing the breakfast, found murdered. One more person found dead on the third day. What happens to the remaining members forms the climax.

What is hot:
Ananth Nag, though appearing in a brief role, steals the show with his sterling performance. His narration style and gestures are superb. Ravi Shankar, who is known for playing villain characters in Kannada films, is convincing as a police officer. His dialogue delivery is very good. Sadhu Kokila provides the much needed humour in this suspense flick. Parul Yadav’s performance is not up to the mark but Meghana Raj is okay. Pavani, if she takes her profession seriously, will have a bright future in Sandalwood. She is not only beautiful but also impressive. Achyut Rao and Prakash Belvadi, a theatre artiste-cum-journalist, have provided good support.

What is not:
Chiranjeevi Sarja has to do a lot of home work if he wants to continue as the hero in Kannada films. His dialogue delivery is okay but gestures and body-language are not up to the mark.

What to do:
It may not be an exaggeration to say that it has all ingredients to ensure value for your money and time.
