Aamir Khan shot for an episode of the popular Marathi comedy show Chala Hava Yeu Dya where he talked about his favourite Maharashtrian food, songs and films. A source from the sets says that when the anchor Nilesh Sable asked him if he has seen Marathi films, Aamir said he has watched Natrang, took a pause and sang Apsara Aali, surprising everybody on the sets. He then added he loved Fandry and Sairat. “Marathi industry is churning out brilliant films and I would also like to produce or do one. I am learning Marathi and by the time I do one, I will be fluent,” he said. When asked if he loves any Maharashtrian delicacy, he mentioned misal pav.

The actor, who celebrated his 52nd birthday on March 14, got a special gift from his mother. The actor loves seekh kababs, especially the ones made by his mom. So, when Aamir hosted a birthday dinner at his house, his mother made seekh kababs and took them to his house. Says an insider, “An overjoyed Aamir gorged himself on the dish with total disregard for his diet for a day.”
