Aamir Khan's PK is surely blazing at the box office. After a magnanimous first week of over Rs 180 crore, PK had already created a new first week record, beating Aamir's previous best Dhoom 3.

The film which has constantly been earning in the range of Rs 20-25 crore raked in huge moolah at the box office and brought in Rs 182 crore in the first week. On its second Friday, the film added another Rs 12-13 crore taking its total eight day collections to around Rs 195 crore. With just about a few crore away from the coveted Rs 200 crore mark, the film is expected to easily cross the mark by the end of the day.

This would also be the fastest film to reach the 200 crore mark, i.e. in 9 days flat. The film is expected to earn in the range of Rs 15-20 crore on its second Saturday, with a huge repeat audience index favouring it as well. Now, analysing the situation it would not be wrong that the film would easily trod in the big league and become the fourth highest Bollywood grosser ever, after Dhoom 3, Salman Khan's Kick and Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express

By the end of its second Saturday, PK is expected to stand at around Rs 210 crore, thereby taking over Aamir's previous Rajkumar Hirani flick 3 Idiots, Salman's Ek Tha Tiger and SRK's Happy New Year. Given that these films managed to score the amount in its total lifetime, Aamir beating it in flat nine days is definitely commendable.
