Aamir Khan's PK opened to a lukewarm response, bringing in about Rs 26 crore on its opening day. While most Aamir critics thought his star power was overtaken by contemporaries Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, PK's bumper box office run has shunned everyone.

In a matter of only ten days flat, PK has taken over Salman Khan's Kick's lifetime collections and become the highest grosser of 2014 already. With around one and half week of free run yet again, the film is definitely going to become to biggest blockbuster in Bollywood.

The film crossed the 200 crore mark in 9 days- the fastest for any Hindi film to do so and collected over Rs 20 crore on its second Sunday, taking the all India domestic collections to around Rs 236 crore, going past this year's previous best- Salman's Kick which netted in Rs 231 crore at the box office.

Not just that, it has also overtaken Shah Rukh's Chennai Express collections and given that the film has achieved the feat in just ten days, is commendable. Given the pace of the film, it would not be wrong to say that the film will easily cross the 300 crore mark soon enough and also overtake  his previous record set with Dhoom 3. What needs to be seen is how long the film takes to cross the Dhoom 3 record.
