Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao have been travelling across villages of Maharashtra for THIS reason

Aamir Khan never fails to inspire us all with his unique ideas and executions. Recently, the actor was reported to have been travelling across the rural parts of Maharashtra with wife Kiran Rao.

A Filmfare report suggests that the duo has been visiting villages that have participated the Water Cup competition which was held by the Paani foundation. The report further reveals that both of them also participated in the ground work that was going on the villages, lending their hands in digging trenches and help in water harvesting.

Aamir and Kiran even meet the farmers who've used innovative techniques for farming, the residents who've shown interest and participated in the mission and also educating them about the significance of water harvesting, added the report.

And do you know what they eat when they are visiting these rural areas? They reportedly, sit down in the field and relish the local food brought to them by the local villagers like bajra roti, sabzi and onions. no wonder, some of Aamir's friends and Marathi stars have also started following his footsteps.
