Aakanksha Singh signs her first regional film

Aakanksha Singh of Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha show fame, who was seen in Badrinath Ki Dulhania as Alia Bhatt’s best friend, has signed her first regional film.

Written and directed by Goutham, the actress has been cast opposite Nagarjuna’s nephew Sumanth. She says, “I got a call for the project as they have seen my work. I chose to do it because usually Telugu cinema is male oriented, they don’t have much to offer to the actress, but this film has equal parts for the male and female protagonists. It’s a soft, slice-of-life romantic film with lots of emotions.”

She will start shooting for the film soon in Hyderabad.
