A cat called Raveena Tandon

Everyone knows that Raveena Tandon is a passionate animal lover. Recently PETA named three rescued kittens after the actress and her children.

Two of the three orphaned kittens — who are currently sheltered at the PETA office in Mumbai — were rescued from the streets during the monsoons, and the third was found inside a car engine. They were named Raveena, Rasha, and Ranbir after the actor — a long-time supporter and friend of PETA —pledged to pay for their initial vaccinations and sterilisation.

“When we informed Raveena — who has already adopted dogs from an animal shelter and the streets — about these kittens, she immediately stepped forward to cover the expense of their initial medical care and sterilisation”, says PETA India Associate Director of Celebrity and Public Relations Sachin Bangera.

“Raveena is always on the lookout to help animals in need — including Raveena, Rasha, and Ranbir the kittens. We hope to find permanent, loving homes for them. The kittens are up for adoption.”
