He is the only Khan whose film hasn't crossed that mark, will Humshakals change that?

Sajid Khan, at the beginning of each film, gave letters to his actors says that they were abut to work in the biggest hit of their careers. He hasn't done so with his latest film Humshakals starring Saif Ali Khan. But a few days before the release of the tim, it looks like this will be the big one for the Nawab of Pataudi.

With this film, SAK returns to comedy, for which he has a natural flair. And he is playing a triple role in the film. Khan's films always work with children and that brings in the family audience. As opposed to action flicks, which guys prefer and romcoms which the ladies love. When a family wants to see a film, the ticket sales multiply. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh says, "There's a very good buzz around Humshakals today. The film promises to be a fun-filled entertainer! For Saif it is a big leap forward as he comes into his own in such kind of a film. Sajid Khan known to make out-and out entertainers. Humshakals definitely has the potential to cross the 100-crore mark. It could be a game changer for Saif. I am surprised that being such a good actor with a good personality and some fine performances, still his films haven't crossed the 100-crore mark. His hard work and great performances get sidelined when some of those films like Bullet Raja don't do well. Hopefully Saif should get his due this time."

Trade analyst Vajir Singh adds, "Once Sajid introduced the dialogue promos the buzz has got stronger. In trade circles the film is very hot and it is definitely a 100 crore film. Whenever Saif has done romantic comedies or light entertainers, like Salam Namaste and Hum Tum, people have loved him in those films and doing those kind of roles. Comedy is his forte. He has always been accepted in such roles and Sajid Khan is known for these kind of movies. Whenever Sajid has made comedies they have hit bulls eye and he is in his element here. Also there's a freshness to the film, as Sajid is working with Saif for the first time. Thirdly we have three Saifs in the film. It's strange that his other hits Love Aaj Kal (70 crore approx), Cocktail (82 crore approx) and Race 2 (92 crore approx) couldn't manage to touch the 100-crore mark. But everything seems to be going in his favor this time. Even whe Saif wasn't a big star he stood out in hits like Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Yeh Dillagi. So his success is higher in comic entertainers. In Humshakals what a single Saif couldn't manage (touch 100-crore) this time, three Saif's will definitely will now."

Saif: Don't jinx it!
While the trade is excited about breaking records, Saif is cautious about saying anything about a 100-crore film, "Why do you say that? Don't jinx it! Fingers crossed." Apparently initially he wasn't sure whether he wanted to do Humshakals and kept Sajid waiting for a month? "No. No. I never had any reservations doing Humshakals as I wanted to work with Sajid. I thought it would be different and challenging to try a slapstick comedy. I loved Houseful and I think people also loved the film. Also I thought it would be nice to get out of one's comfort zone and try something different in a commercial space. Once I gave myself totally into Sajid's hands there were no reservations. Let's see what the audience thinks on Friday! I found working in Humshakals very hard work – exhausting but also extremely rewarding!"
