Bollywood's favourite festival aka Karva Chauth is here and we have our ladies getting all decked up for this big day. Karva Chauth is the festival where Hindu women, especially those from North India, observe a whole day fast from sunrise till sunset for safety and longevity of their husband's life. To celebrate such a sweet day, we bring to you top seven songs/scenes from Bollywood movies which you can listen to since day is going to be a bit difficult!

Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham: Karan Johar's grand family saga had the popular 'Leja Leja' song, filmed especially for this day. In the song, you can see Kajol fasting for her reel husband Shah Rukh Khan and humming the song along with her family. If nothing else, this song did give us a good number to dance during marriages and social functions. The elaborate sets, perfect costumes and a good choreography made this song an instant hit amongst the masses. Also, this was one such song where you had the entire star cast of the movie including Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan coming together to perform together. Karan Johar style celebration!

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge: Who can forget Aditya Chopra's directorial debut! I am sure it is everyone's all-time favourite movie. Raj and Simran are still fresh in our minds and so is the Karva Chauth scene. As the backdrop of the movie goes, Simran (Kajol) loves Raj (Shah Rukh) but is forced to marry Kuljeet (Parmeet Sethi). If marrying wasn't enough, she is forced to observe the Karva Chauth fast for him. Being as determined as ever, she decides to keep fast for Raj instead. Pretending to faint, she manages to have Raj feed her. This was one of the most candid moment in the movie. This Yash Raj movie is surely a major reason why our women love Karva Chauth.

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam: Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam showed Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan falling madly in love with each other. The essence of this movie was so strong that this reel couple ended up dating each other in real life. The song sequence filmed on Karva Chauth has Aishwarya fasting for her lover Salman Khan and not her husband Ajay Devgn. The song is picturised in a way where Aishwarya remembers Salman and dreams about breaking the fast with him. So all you girls, if you have your Mr. Perfect in your life right now, this is your day to make him feel loved and special.

Ishq Vishq: Amrita Rao, a college going girl keeps this Karva Chauth fast for her lover Shahid Kapoor. The scene where she demonstrates her lover for him is such an awww... moment. So all you girls out there, if you are waiting for your crush to make a first move, don't wait. Go ahead and tell him that you like him. This might save you some time.

Baabul: This movie gave all ladies a hope that they might get the in-laws as sweet as Amitabh and Hema Malini. This scene has Hema Malini and Rani Mukherjee fasting for their husbands. A very good depiction of how sweet a family can be.

Baghban: The iconic on-screen pair of Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini is shown still in love with each other even after several years of their marriage. This movie shows the couple celebrating Karva Chauth away from each other, conversing on the telephone. The conversation that they both share over the phone call is sure going to make you a bit sad. This movie proved that you don't need an age bar to describe your love for someone.

Zeher: Romantic song 'Agar Tum Mil Jao' from this movie had a Karva Chauth sequence which showed Shamita Shetty observing fast for Emraan Hashmi. The movie shows this couple getting separated and Emraan falling for Udita Goswami. But deep somewhere down the line, he still misses Shamita and their love.

So all those couples out there who will be celebrating Karva Chauth today here is Bollywood, has come to our rescue as always. Spread love and stay together. We wish you all a very Happy Karva Chauth!
