It was Orissa girl Ananya Sritam Nanda who lifted the Indian Idol Junior trophy on Sunday. Here are things you didn't know about our little wonder.
She's a power packed singer and the newest Indian Idol Junior. All at just 13 years. Ananya Sritam Nanda who hails from Odisha emerged victorious, beating her contemporary contenders Nahid Afrin and Nithyashree Venkataramanan.
Sona ki Rockstar Kanya, as Ananya was famously called on the show, Ananya went on to win the show after going through several acid tests- right from the auditions to the theatre round and the gala rounds. Known for her adaayein and harkat, the singer was lauded for most of her performances. A journey that started with a fabulous Jo Bheji Thi Dua meandered through different genres as she sung a Kamli with equal aplomb. But it was her trademark harkat which separated her from all the other contestants. And voila, she's now the Indian Idol Junior.
But there are a lot of things that you still don't know about this small wonder. Here are 7 things we bet you didn't know about Ananya.
A Bright Student!
Ananya, who's 13 studies in the ninth standard in DAV School in Pokhariput, Odisha. Despite coming from a small town, the kid has huge aspirations and giving wings to her dreams was Indian Idol Junior. But not just singing, we hear the girl is a bright student and very focussed on her academics as well. Bravo!
For Mom and Dad!
Ananya's mother is a housewife and father, a director in a government industrial department. Ananya who has been training in singing under Hindustani exponents Guru Nilamani Ojha and Chittaranjan Pani wants to live her dreams and make her parents proud. And she did it!
Not Just Singing!
She just doesn't like singing. The winner also loves dancing and performing. Now, Ananya's nuances- the aadayein and the harkats are evidences enough to make us believe it.
A Harmonium Girl
Other than singing and dancing, Ananya loves playing the harmonium. And mostly, plays the instrument while she does her riyaaz or sings her songs. Multi-talented we must admit!

Yes, Ananya who's equally good in studies wants to become a scientist someday.
