He has hit all the right notes in his debut Bollywood album, Anushka Sharma's Phillauri. Despite being into Electronic music, Shashwat Sachdev has beautifully managed to pull off a folk -based music album. So, here are 5 things that are little known about that the newbie composer on the block in his own words:

1. My sister’s name is Saahiba.

2. Both my parents are academicians. My mom is a lecturer and my father is a doctor and I come from a non-musical background.

3.  I am actually an electronic musician and the music that I do is very different from Phillauri. Karnesh Sharma Sir told me that he liked my music, but that it wasn’t what he was looking for his film. “But your musicality might work”, he told me, “Why don’t you do something in a folk space, in a Punjabi space or in a more ethnic space, in a less urban space.” And so, Phillauri happened. Abhi toh I’m known for only Phillauri. I hope I don’t get typecast. As of now, people know me only for Phillauri and that’s not even my genre.

4. Phillauri is the first time that I’ve worked in music where there’s a lyricist involved and the lyrics have not been written by me. And I think it’s a very fortunate thing to have happened (chuckles)

5. I’ve worked with one of the most influential sound engineers in the world. I have a very strong connect with him. He’s a Grammy winner (who has worked with the likes of Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and Mariah Carey) and his name is Tony Maserati.
