Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover just got married and despite their wedding being a small, intimate affair, the actress made sure the arrangements stay in everyone's hearts forever!
How many times have you seen a couple going all quirky with their most special day - their wedding? Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover is one of those few, crazy lovebirds who like to spread love, but with a difference. When Bipasha decided to walk the aisle with boyfriend Karan, she was clear in her head. She wanted everything pretty, happy and mostly pink.
From the decor to the colour of her lehenga on mehendi day to the cake, everything had shades of Bips' favourite colour from the spectrum. Despite it being a small, cosy party with only few of her closest industry friends making it to the do, Bipasha wanted to make it a night to remember for all of them...
...And she succeeded. Here's why Bipasha and Karan's wedding will down memory lane as the coolest shaadi of the year!
The wedding invite!
Bipasha Basu ditched the usual wedding card invite and sent out a fun, cute card instead, calling all her loved ones to join in and spread some 'monkey-love' with the two monkeys (yes, that's what they love calling themselves)! What came along with the announcement was a fantastic pre-wedding photo-shoot that Bips did to finally share the good news with all her fans. The one-minute something video has the two lovebirds captured in some candid moments and we simply can't stop gushing about it.
The mehendi arrangement!
Bipasha had a very private mehndi and sangeet ceremony at Villa 69, Juhu a day before the wedding happened. Bips stunned everyone as she dressed up as the perfect princess in her pink lehenga-choli coupled with an adorable tiara. The queen was ready to hit the dance floor with the king and the 'filmy' keedas took over. We love.
The entrance!
Bipasha's special plans seems to have worked really well. One of the things we loved the most about the wedding was the entry gate where Bipasha kept a special podium, against a backdrop of her photoshoot with Karan and made her guests pose with different placards. Seen in this picture is Madhavan with his wife. Isn't this cute?
Ditch the ghodi, take the seqway!
Karan Singh Grover wore a white kurta but that was not the attraction of the wedding. This groom ditched the ghodi and made his entry on a Segway! Yes! Nothing about their wedding was usual. It was the coolness quotient and the swag that will make this a memorable night in lives of everyone present.
The wedding cake:
From the decor to the cards, everything had monkeys. Even the wedding cake had two monkeys! While other wedding cakes usually feature a bride and groom, this white and pink wedding cake was alced with roses but it didn't have a couple on top. Instead, they had two cute little monkeys spreading some monkey-love. We simply loved this one, Bips!
