Ajay Devgn fans have been waiting for Independence Day ever since the announcement of 'Singham Returns's release was made. And now that Independence Day is finally here and the film has opened to full houses, we feel this would be the biggest hit for Ajay Devgn till date.
Here are 5 reasons why we think so:
1. 'Singham'- The Franchise :
Very few films have the caliber and the ability to become formulaic franchises. 'Singham' is definitely one of them. The first installment from the franchise was applauded due to its deft portrayal and its masala entertainment. Hence, the recall value is expected to be higher for 'Singham Returns'. People who have loved 'Singham' will definitely love this one too.
2. Ajay Devgn:
He reprises his 'Bajirao Singham' avatar from the prequel which was much loved by the audience. Fighting against the ills that plague the Indian society, Ajay's character reflects the inspirational story of the many cops out there protecting us from all dangers.
3. The romantic angle with Kareena Kapoor:
Although Kareena Kapoor plays the blabbering chatterbox yet another time, after her 'Geet' from 'Jab We Met', what catches our attention is the beautiful chemistry she shares with co-star Ajay Devgn. Looking resplendent throughout the film, Kareena helps our eyes from getting bored!
4. The pitch-perfect action sequences:
While the whole film has become and better, the action sequences have become even more eye-catching and powerful. Hard hitting stunts, and car sequences, ones that are trademark Rohit Shetty signature styles in filmmaking, the action sequences are picturised on a grand level here.
5. Rohit Shetty:
Its simple, boss! It is an out and out Rohit Shetty film, which is nothing less than 'paisa-vasool' entertainment. With the brilliant capability of making the 'mindless' look extremely cool, he is one of those few directors who understands the pulse of his audience base. And with 'Singham Returns', he has yet another winner in his pocket!
So, if you have not watched Singham Returns yet, better make your way to the theatres before the tickets are sold out and Ajay Devgn chants, 'Aata Majhi Satakli'
