Saif Ali Khan and Ileana D' Cruz starrer romantic comedy Happy Ending released on Friday and going by the buzz around the film, the film might bring in some decent figures as well. With a host of special appearances and supporting characters, the film stays true to the name and leaves you happy at the end.

Here are 5 reasons why Happy Ending can be a fun time watch.

Saif Ali Khan:

He desperately needed to break away from the section of cinema he was investing in. From a disappointing Bullett Raja to a horrid Humshakals, Saif has been making some really bad choices in the past one year. But with Happy Ending, he sets the ball rolling yet again. Perfectly suited for rom-coms, Saif always brings in that infectious freshness in the genre and Happy Ending is no different. Not just the carefree Yudi, but also the lazy, bearded alter ego Yogi was pulled off effortlessly by our Chhote Nawab.

Govinda:

Yes, his role was comparatively shorter than you would expect and that is definitely a bummer of sorts. But whenever the tempo of the film goes down, Govinda cranks it up with his crazy trademark antics through physical comedy. From the way he essays the role of a pretentious superstar and to the way he grooves to the 'G Phadke' number, it's typical ChiChi all the way! And if you were disappointed with his Kill Dil attempt, Happy Ending's superstar Armaan aka Govinda will definitely spread a smile across your face.

The presentation and the dialogues:

When you are making a spoof on a particular genre of films, you need to be really careful. Such films come with a risk of trading on both the extremes- either it can go really well or it might just fizzle out totally! The directors have subtly taken the theme and made a nice spoof of romantic comedies only to themselves fall prey to the same stereotypical roles towards the end. Obviously, a different ending could have worked wonders but nevertheless, the film's nicely segmented scenes filled with some wonderful one-liners, definitely makes it deserve a thumbs up!

Cameo appearances:

Preity Zinta has more than just a cameo appearance and the dimpled beauty brings in a lot of poise and calmness to the pace of the film. Playing one of Yudi's ex girlfriends, Preity is the one who knocks some sense into Saif's character. And it's nice to see her lighting up the screens after so long. If this film is Govinda's comeback where he barely has five scenes, Zinta's similar smaller presence in it too should work out well. Kareena Kapoor Khan in a small role, as the filmi girlfriend is wonderful in the film.

The supporting characters:

Happy Ending would have not been this happy, had there not been a Ranveer Shorey or a Kalki Koechlin. Supporting the lead characters and complementing them beautifully, Kalki as the hyper over-possessive girlfriend is a revelation. Ranveer has the most funny one liners in the film and ups the tempo with his mad avatar. It's him who you end up sympathising with, given how much married men would relate to his Montu!

Overall, Happy Ending is a film that makes you leave the theatre with a smile, feeling happy but not overjoyed. Saif definitely holds his ground in this one and although presumably the ending becomes predictable, this one can be a nice one time watch, popping popcorns and sipping on your cola.
