The latest song from Half Girlfriend, Mere Dil Mein is sung by Veronica Mehta and Yash Narvekar and composed by Rishi Rich. While it is a really peppy number, it fails to appeal to the masses. Here are 5 reasons why we feel the song fails to leave a mark:

Too many dialogues: Mere Dil Mein has a rock song kind of feel and added to that are too many dialogues that are interspersed, which doesn't seem to work for the song. The opening beats sound very similar to 'Hangover' by PSY which was released two years ago.

The lyrics: Well one of the lines goes,"Facebook pe maine tujhe stalk kiya, Oh baby tu ne kaahe mujhe block kiya." We can all smell the creepiness there, right?

The visuals: The visuals are the major reason why the song does not appeal to the audiences. They confuse the viewers, making them wonder what is going on. The visuals show a number of locations from the basketball court to the New York Times Square and the two characters in different avatars.

Choreography: We think that the makers wanted it to be a dance number and tried attempting it so that it may be the next party song but what about the steps? There are hardly any and even the ones that are  there fail to make us want to get up and dance.

Complete mismatch : The expressions of both Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor and the lyrics when clubbed together are don't seem to gel well. On watching the song, one cannot comprehend what is happening or what is going to happen further in the movie.

It sure is a foot tapping number but we feel it could have been done in a better way.
