Bigg Boss 9 finale, which took place on Saturday night, declared Prince as the winner of the controversial reality show. At the same time, Rishabh Sinha, who put up a great fight, emerged as the first runner up, which, sadly did break many a hearts. Considered to be a 'people's favourite' and not popular choice, Rishabh did have various moments in the house which made many fans, female fans especially, reach out to him.

With his good looks, his carefree attitude and ability to find humour in the most serious of situations, one cannot deny that Rishabh was a breath of fresh air inside the house. Though the man could not get himself the trophy, here are some reasons why we feel the decision was unfair, and Rishabh deserved to win:

Entertaining wild-card entrant: Bigg Boss 9 had a spree of wild-card entrants in the house. From Priya Malik, to Giselle Thakral to even counting Imam Siddique's presence at the near-end of the show, the makers left no stone unturned to add spice in the house. Out of all, Rishabh turned out to be one of those few gems who had a genuine side to him. Come on! He was not fake, he was funny, he did not cry or fight for the sake of footage. Be it his morning dance moves or crazy way of putting up his argument, it was difficult to ignore him. Most importantly, he was bearable!

Heart of a child : 'Spineless', 'Cannot take a stand', 'Kiddish'- Yes he was all of these. But not everyone can be perfect, right? It is this imperfectness of Rishabh, which welcomed him into our hearts. One would say that Rishabh was not a fighter at tasks like Prince, could not defend himself like Priya, nor he could be as cool-headed as Keith, but Rishabh was himself! He would speak up if he would get hurt but also immediately make up with the person, he would pull legs of contestants like Mandana in his own sweet way and moreover tried to be a friend to every contestant in the house who did not mess with him! This attitude of his made us feel like he was one of us. He wasn't a celebrity, but somebody just like us.

Agreed! He had a downside: Rishabh could never analyse any situation wittily. He would tend to get hyper even at the smallest of things that could annoy him and lose his calm easily. He also put up some crazy fights with Priya when she was the only friend who actually supported him. His words sometime made no sense, which, sadly, built quite a negative impression about him. However, for all the faults that he made in the house, he never did anything that erred his impression to the audience. Unlike other contestants, Rishabh managed to get back to become what he was and entertain us in a 'positive' way.

Too unfair for Rishabh: Life hardly gives you second chances but for Prince,  it was not the first or second but third golden opportunity. Prince, who has won shows like Roadies X2 and Splitsvilla 8 before got another feather added to his cap with yet another win of a reality show. Though unexpected, it was a moment of great pride for Rishabh's fans to see him even in the top 2, but to see him lose after having come so close was a big disappointment. He was a part of Splitsvilla too once upon a time, but gained fame through his stint on TV show but he got "officially introduced" to national T. V through Bigg Boss.  He was naive like any one of us and thus we felt he needed to taste the success more than the other finalist Prince.

He wanted to win:- Rishabh had shown consistency in his perseverance to reach the finals. He never ever stated that he missed home or he felt weak inside the house. Instead, he fostered his friendship with Giselle and Priya till the end. Though he was not a part of the 'cool' group and was tagged as an 'underdog', his humility actually turned out to be the reason for his distinct popularity on the show. He also put up great efforts in winning captaincy task in he house, while he learned from his mistakes. Though, we cannot tag his journey as the best and his performance the most supreme, all we can say is that he was an average competitor with limited skills but high amounts of energy. This entertainer proved that he really came to the house to win.

Frankly, we would have rooted for Kishwer, Rochelle or Priya if they had emerged as the last two finalists of the show in competition to Prince, but all we can say is Rishabh outdid himself by putting some of the strong contestants behind, only to miss out at the final stage. Sorry Prince, but Rishabh, you shall be remembered.
