350 se 400 crore! Robot 2.0's budget increased

When Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth were in news to come together for a sci-fi film like 2.0 - the sequel to Robot, excitement knew no bound. And soon, we realised that 2.0 will be the most expensive film ever made in the history of Indian cinema. 

We had exclusively told you how the makers have spent a whopping Rs 350 crore on the Akshay-Rajini starrer. But now, there's another interesting development. 

The producers have decided to pipe in more money and now the budget of 2.0 is a gigantic Rs 400 crore. Why the additional Rs 50 crore? Says a source, "The film has been completely shot in 3D so this extra money will be used to enhance the VFX and the production value of the film."
