Just days after the release of the first poster of Arjun Kapoor-Alia Bhatt-starrer 2 States, the makers have released the second poster of the movie.

The second poster gives sneak peek into the film's premise.

Based on Chetan Bhagat's novel of the same name, the film tells the story of two young IIM graduates who fall for each other and embark on a journey of love. Problems arise when they realise that their cultural differences pose as a gap wider than they imagined.

While Arjun Kapoor will be seen as a well-educated young guy from North India named Krish Malhotra, Alia, will play a sweet,  intelligent South Indian girl named Ananya Sawminathan.

The second poster captures the essence of the film brilliantly as it shows the two families with their repective children. While the leads look happy, the respective families eye each other with considerable doubt and concern.

Apart fom the interesting storyline, the film brings back two very talented actresses — Amrita Singh and Revathy — in important roles.

While Amrita plays Arjun's mother, Revathy plays Ananya's mother. The film also has popular TV actor Ronit Roy in an important role.

The trailer of the film is expected to release on Friday at noon. The film directed by Abhishek Yarnan will hit the screens on April 18.
