It was 17 years ago that Harry Potter first weaved his magic. Published on June 26, 1997, JK Rowling's Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone has manged it's way into the hearts of many and is still doing it.
The first chapter and sentence:
THE BOY WHO LIVED
Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much.
This line still makes the fans nostalgic and gives them the fuzzies. The journey has been memorable. From the 11-year old who lived in the cupboard under the stairs to being the owner of Grimmauld Place to destroying You-Know-Who, Harry Potter has had one long journey. Not just one, but many generations have grown and matured with Harry, Ron and Hermoine.
