Ten years is a long, long time. And many things will change. For better or worse. But like it does, every decade, some things will prevail. Much of the future is invariably rooted in the present. Sure, we’ve got no crystal ball, but we can predict the futures of some of today’s biggest Bollywood stars without a sliver of doubt. Unless they decide to prove us wrong or destiny charts a different course...

Priyanka Chopra
She’ll be India’s answer to Jennifer Lopez and would have won at least one Grammy by then. Our guess is that she’ll marry some Hollywood producer type a la Georgina Chapman and divide her time between LA and Mumbai.

Ranbir & Katrina
From being a prince, he’ll step into the shoes of ‘B-Town’s King’ easily. He’ll revive the RK banner and take the legacy of his late grandfather ahead. Katrina would have settled into domesticity and perhaps enjoy her role as mother to Ranbir’s kids. She’ll appear in movies and TV commercials once the kids grow up.

Alia Bhatt
She’ll be Bollywood’s unrivalled number one; the reigning queen. We can easily bet without a shadow of doubt that she’ll be the highest paid actress and will command even a higher price than her male co-stars. The most sought-after diva will be seen in a litany of solo-heroine, author-backed roles.

Ranveer Singh
The boisterous actor would have started his own fashion line of quirky menswear for guys who always like to stand out and never want to be in the shadow. Given his rambunctious demeanour, he’ll be seen doing stand-up comedy shows on TV and theatre.

Twinkle Khanna
She would have won an array of literary honours not just in India but also internationally. Her writing trajectory will continue to propel ahead which means more books, columns and blog posts. She’ll be the face of Indian literary scene internationally giving other authors a run for their money.

Akshay Kumar
The Khiladi will start a school of martial arts which will especially impart knowledge to women and young girls about self protection. Also, he’ll be the face of vegetarian movement in India.

Karan Johar
Karan’s Dharma Production will at par with the Warner Bros. He’ll probably win Padma Vibhushan for his contribution to Indian cinema and also be a godfather to new age storytellers, technicians and directors under his hallowed production house. He’ll continue to host many major talk shows like Koffee With Karan and will also be active on social media apps and blogosphere.

Amitabh Bachchan
Big B will continue to be the face of KBC and will go from strength to strength essaying innumerable author-backed, well-written roles like Piku. He’ll show no signs of slowing down.

Shah Rukh Khan
He’ll focus more on his production house and films coming out of it. His major time will be devoted to launching son Aryan. He’ll also launch into television and YouTube content in a big way.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Considering we’ve been unable to produce any Miss World or Miss Universe in the recent past, Ash is likely to start a Miss India finishing school to groom young aspirants. She is most likely to launch a cosmetic business and will be the face of it.

Anushka Sharma
Her production company would have got established by then and she’d also venture into television and reality TV. She’s most likely to start a sports channel with boyfriend Virat Kohli.

Varun Dhawan
He’ll be seen in multiple sequels to ABCD2 and also in a slew of action films garnering praise from both the masses and critics. The producer’s son in all probability will start his own production house and prove his mettle as a producer too.

Sooraj Pancholi
He’ll be the ultimate teenage heartthrob and a gym pinup sensation for all the gym going boys inspiring a new generation to be fit. With his chocolate boy looks and a sculpted hot bod, he’s quite likely to be India’s answer to Mr Grey from the 50 Shades series.

Athiya Shetty
She’ll be the strongest number one contender and also prove her mettle as a true blue fashionista. She’ll front many brand campaigns especially the cosmetic brands. Easily she will be the most sought-after cover girl with the largest number of followers on Twitter and Instagram.

Vidya Balan
Given her love for handicrafts and textiles and also her involvement with social causes, she’s most likely to be the textile minister supporting Indian handlooms and crafts. She’ll be the face of Make In India campaign.

Sonam Kapoor
Fashion’s ‘IT’ girl will be editing a fashion bible and using her years of style experimentation to surreal editorial use. Besides, the magazine career and movies, she’ll be also heading a fashion empire of ready-to-wear clothes for women of all age groups a la Victoria Beckham.

Kareena Kapoor Khan
She’ll be babysitting a royal heir and enjoying the family life. She’ll be seen only in powerful author-backed, off-the-wall roles on the big screen.

Rani Mukerji
Adi Chopra’s better half will make her mark as an astute BO-savvy filmmaker. She’ll be the godmother to the young generations of scriptwriters and directors and also the most visible face of Yash Raj Films.

Rhea Kapoor
The Producer and stylist will entrench herself as the queen of chick-lit film-making in India. She’ll be India’s answer to Michael Patrick King and will have a bunch of high fashion feature films, documentaries and TV shows on the lines of Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars to her credit.
