Ghayal released in 1990. It took Sunny Deol 26 years to come up with a sequel. After numerous delays in the release, the film has finally hit the screens this Friday. And from the first few shows, it seems Sunny's film has received a thumbs up from the audiences. High on masala and action- elements that the film is known for, Ghayal Once Again is expected to repeat the box office success. But now that Sunny is back with the sequel, here's taking a look at 5 other films where Sunny perfected the Angry Young Man avatar....

1. Betaab

Betaab:
This was his debut vehicle in Bolylwood and this super-successful film ensured that Sunny placed himself right into a bracket where there was a dearth of good actors. Much ahead of Akshay Kumar in terms of debut years, Sunny became an instant craze overnight and soon was touted as the next action star in Bollywood.

2. Ghayal

Ghayal
2/5

Ghayal:
A brilliant vendetta story that had its emotional content intact. Yes, Ghayal established Sunny Deol as the true-blue action hero and his trademark antics became the new cool symbol among the youth. And it's his character Ajay Mehra that became an iconic name down the Bollywood history. If you are a Hindi film buff, this is one Deol film you should never miss!

3. Ghatak

Ghatak:
Another action flick, Ghatal had Sunny Deol playing a wrestler who eventually frees a colony from the tyranny of a gangster. With dollops of punches and kicks in typical Sunny paaji style, this film entertained like no other!

4. Damini

Damini

Damini:
Remember the 'dhai kilo ka haath' dialogue? I'm sure everyone does. That's synonymous with the actor even today. And this is another Sunny Deol film which will find its place in the Bollywood hall of fame. While Big B was the angry young man of the 70s, Sunny's style, anger, angst was way different. Yet there was no contemporary hero who could replace Sunny in that zone. At least not back then!

5. Gadar: Ek Prem Katha

Gadar: Ek Prem Katha

Gadar: Ek Prem Katha
If the dialogue from Damini is still fresh in everyone's minds (and let us remind you, even the Ghayal Once Again teaser poster reminded us of the same!), the water pump scene from Gadar Ek Prem Katha will definitely be remembered as one of the most powerful scenes in the history of Indian cinema. No two ways about that! And mind you, Gadar still is technically the highest grosser in Bollywood (if you round up the figures to today's times)
