Radikaa Sarathkumar and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar posted an update on Twitter that R Sarathkumar is asymptomatic.
South superstar and politician R. Sarathkumar has been tested positive for coronavirus. The news was confirmed by his wife Radikaa Sarathkumar and daughter Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. The actor is undergoing treatment in Hyderabad and they also revealed that Sarathkumar is asymptomatic. Varalaxmi tweeted, "Appa @realsarathkumar has tested positive today for #covid... He's currently in Hyderabad recovering and in good hands... We will keep you posted... Thank you...!!! @realradikaa."
While Radikaa took to her Twitter page and wrote, "Today Sarath tested positive for Coronavirus in Hyderabad. He's asymptomatic and in the hands of extremely good doctors! I will keep you updated about his health in the days to come. @realsarathkumar @rayane_mithun @imAmithun_264 @varusarath5."

It was just on Monday, Sarathkumar posted a few photos on his Instagram page posing with his pet canine. He wrote, "It has been nine months since this little fellow came into our lives, protective caring obedient naughty at times, playful, full of energy, helps take away dull moments in our day to day life. We have borne pain throughout this year and the solution seems to come our way soon, let us put the best foot forward and regain all lost grounds, efforts pay rewards."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sarathkumar was last seen in Vaanam Kottatum directed by Dhana Sekaran. The film also starred Raadhika Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu and Aishwarya Rajesh with Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Madonna Sebastian in pivotal roles.
His upcoming films include Tamil film Adangathey starring G. V. Prakash Kumar and Surbhi in the leading roles.
The veteran actor also has Mani Ratnam directorial Ponniyin Selvan alongside Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram and Aishwarya Lekshmi. The shooting of the film was happening in full swing and is likely to release in 2021.
