It’s great fun to have a nice meal by the sea, under the opensky. Food is automatically more healing when served and eaten in a natural environment. And believe it or not it’s available at the Vie Lounge. As we drink in the atmosphere, the mezze plater — with hummus (rich in protein and calcium) Babaganoush, stuffed baby Aubergine —which was tender, grilled and marinated just melted in our mouths. Go for tomato garlic bruchetta, or Cajun potatoes or grilled baby corn.Accompany them with salad of exotic vegetables and minestrone soup.
The make for quite a few healthy appetisers and starters. Opt for a bit of grilled velvet cheese, a much better option than the fried version which is ten times thecalorie! Main course dish Brugul Summer Veg Risotto, using broken wheat instead of the starchy rice was excellent.Itwas filled with peppers, broccolis and greens. I requested them to go easy on cheese and they tnakfully did!
It’s really nice when a chef caters to the clients need so perfectly! Red snapper, Marrakech grilled is a very good choice as well as the Minty Pomfret Charmoulah — grilled in a tandoor. Most of the food here is cooked in olive oil giving you the essential omega 3 fatty acids. The vegetablesused were also fresh and healthy. I was told that the fish and the poultry used, are just stored fortwo days. The food is prepared fresh and so your order takes time.
Wine for anyone who chooses to have alcohol —a wiser choice than all other spirits. It lowers the cholesterol. They have a good collection of wines stored at perfect temperature unlike many other stand alone restaurants. It’s important that the wine is stored in the required temeperature.
Unfortunately all the breads available are white. There is always an alternative that one can choose from. The low fat yoghurt to satisfy your sweet tooth is a far healthier option than the creamy cheesy desserts. Unfortunately natural sugar is not used.
