When you think of fish eggs, caviar comes to mind. They are those little black, salty berries reserved for only the most expensive parties or exclusive events.

Caviar is fish roe or eggs, which are sieved to remove fatty tissues and membrane and lightly salted with non-iodized salt. The most well-known Beluga caviar comes from the Caspian Sea.

Caviar is a high-nutrient food for its contribution to health.

Early research suggests that people suffering from depression, bipolar disorder, and other mental health problems can benefit from diets rich in omega-3 fatty acids — found in abundance in certain types of fish like caviar. It was found that depression was much lower in areas where fish is a dietary staple.

People with bipolar disorder — previously known as manic depressionare known to have significantly fewer depressive episodes when their diets were supplemented with caviar.

It also protects against heart disease. The evidence is so strong that the American Heart Association now recommends eating caviar at least twice a week.

Studies also indicate that the fatty acids in caviar may benefit people with rheumatoid arthritis, stomach or intestinal diseases.

It is also known to be a mood enhancer.

Caviar also helps to counteract obesity besides aiding digestion.

It has wonderful anti-ageing benefits for the skin.Every day our skin is exposed to pollutants in the air that clog our pores. This factor, coupled with the stresses of daily life, accelerates the aging process. Thus, new anti-aging products containing caviar work to protect the skin from pollutants, cleanse it without drying it out, and encourage the body to produce collagen. Caviar extract is said to stimulate the metabolism of the skin cells.
