Captain America 2 to reveal more secrets

Anthony and Joe Russo's Captain America: The Winter Soldier, along with Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers 2 and are collectively referred to as Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe which currently comprises of six films.

Maximiliano Hernández, who played the role of Agent Jasper Sitwell in Joss Whedon's The Avengers said that he would be reprising his role as the SHIELD agent in the Captain America: The First Avenger sequel, SFX reported.

“So it’s a much bigger role in a much darker Cap Story. Lots of twists and turns. And lots secrets about the MCU revealed!” Hernández said, adding, “I can’t say much more or the Marvel cops will revoke my SHIELD clearance! Trust me u will all freak out in the theatre when all is revealed!”

Chris Evans will return to play the shield-bearing superhero Captain America. Zero Dark Thirty's Frank Grillo will be playing the dreaded villain Crossbones, a goon of the Nazi leader Red Skull, the commander of the terrorist outfit HYDRA.

Unfortunately, Hugo Weaving, who played the Red Skull in The First Avenger, said he would not be reprising his role in future Marvel Studios production.

The film will also see the portrayal of mainstream comics' first African-American superhero the Falcon by The Hurt Locker's Anthony Mackie.

Earlier in the month, producer Kevin Freige described the film, which will see Black Swan's Sebastian Stan playing the titular Winter Soldier, as a political thriller.
