How Salman-Shah Rukh feud prevented Hrithik from being kissed by Katrina

It is official. Katrina Kaif will not liplock with Hrithik Roshan for Bang Bang. Although the smooch was part of the script and there had been discussions to the effect, the actress is now insisting that she won’t do the kissing scene with him.

The reason for this sudden about turn has to do with her former beau Salman Khan. It is learnt that Salman was upset with her multiple liplocks with Shah Rukh Khan in Jab Tak hain Jaan. Not because she kissed SRK but because she went to great lengths to hide the fact from him. She thinks that by refusing to do a kissing scene now would appease her ex.

The reason for wanting to stay in Salman’s good books, according to an insider, has to do with him taking care of her financial needs, even though they haven’t been together for a couple of years now.

Says an insider, “Salman would not have cared about her kissing scenes with SRK in JTHJ but the fact that she went to great lengths to keep it hidden from him, pissed him off. She ensured that even the common business manager did not find out about the smooches, in case it was communicated back to Salman.

Not surprisingly Salman was irritated with this ‘deception’ and hasn’t spoken to her since. Even though she has tried to give explanations.” Kat wants to fix that and her fears now that she will be in the news again for another liplock, which will refresh the memory of her last kiss in everyone’s mind.

She wants the previous kiss to be deleted from everyone’s memory (especially Salman) so that she can bring back a certain level of communication back with her former lover. Not just that, she wants people to pass on the message to Salman how she’s not kissing Hrithik in the film.

Katrina says coldly, “There’s been no talk about a kiss in Bang Bang. It’s not true.” However when quizzed if she would do a kissing scene in any other film, she chooses to adopt a ‘no comment’ stance.

Director Siddharth Anand says, “This is really irrelevant! Such news doesn’t deserve a comment really. We all don’t want our film to be associated with such stories!” Unfortunately Sid, you cannot chose (or control) what stories your film can be associated with.
