Additi Gupta who was last seen in Sanjog Se Bani Sangini has been roped in for Zee’s upcoming show Badalte Rishton Ki Dastaan. She along with Sanjeeda Sheikh will be playing the protagonists who come together to fight the exploitative patriarchal system.

Additi plays the role of  Nandini, a meek, demure woman, who is submissive at the outset but displays tremendous strength of character. “I think this character is a karmic coincidence after playing the role of Pihu, the ‘other woman’ in Sangini,” smiles Additi who is going completely deglam for her role. She will be seen sans heavy makeup and jewellery. Says Additi, “This role is a challenge for me as I haven’t played anything like this before.

People generally associate me with being bubbly and vivacious but this is very different from what I have done before. My character’s strength and quiet resilience is what made the role so appealing.”

Besides Additi, the other actors in the show include Abhinav Shukla, a newcomer as the male lead and Mona Ambegaonkar as Beeji. Kiran Karmakar who is already playing an antagonist in Uttaran will continue his tryst with villainy in Dastaan. He plays the cunning and scheming Balraj. “Balraj is an  opportunistic and a spiteful man who will go to any lengths to achieve what he wants. My mission will be accomplished the day I start receiving numerous hate mails from the viewers saying how much they hate Balraj!” he proclaims.
